Udon Thani To Pattaya By Bus

Featured Replies

On Jan. 31 I will depart by bus from Udon for Pattaya, arriving in Pattaya on Feb. 4. So I can break up the long bus ride by stopping at four different towns along the way. This gives me the chance to see places I have never seen before.

My question is: In what cities should I stop? I dislike long bus rides which is another reason for breaking up the trip.

I hope someone can help me.

If you can a get a bus from Khon Kaen (or Korat) that goes via the mountain road (304),then a stop near Khao Yai (Wang Nam Khiao) might be a good idea (scenic landscape and natural habitat).

I wouldn't bother. The trip isn't that long. Buy ticket on VIP bus, sit back and enjoy the 9/10 hour journey.

Unless there is some significance all Thai towns are pretty much the same. And in one night won't see anything.
