Urgent - O Visa Expired, 90 Days Finish Sat, 7 Day Extension Possible?

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

My friend is on an O visa which has expired. She is in her final 90 days now which runs out on the 28th of January. She thought the date was the 31st. She is unable to leave the country at such short notice. Is it possible to go to immigration and get an extension for 7 days, obviously having to pay the 1900 THB fee?

Any assistance in this matter would be highly appreciated.

Thankyou :)

Jules

To get a 7 day extension she would need an air ticket out within that time.

She should be able to get 7 days to leave the country.

A flight ticket may well be needed to show. 1,900 Baht.

Thanks Sam

If she does a visa run to Ranong will they give her a 15 day entry permit stamp, knowing that her O visa has just expired?

Go before the 28th and she will get 15 days no problem; fly in and out of Thailand she will get 30 days.

"She is unable to leave the country at such short notice."

Hasn't she known about this for 90 days?

I think if it expires on a day they are closed, she can get the extension, as noted above, on the first day they are open after the expiration.
