Any info on when the new BMW 3 series will be launched in Thailand?

The F30 series will be launched at the Motor Show next month, but it will be a staged release, taking around 6 months before all variants become available. If you haven't already pre-booked though, expect a waiting queue of around 9-12 months.

Not to good with Thai, so don't fully understand what is said...

Well over a year ago on a Thai TV Motor program was showing about the new CHEVROLET Zafira, my understanding was it was going to be made in Thailand......... Nothing and No info so guess understood wrong,....

A few days ago on TV they were showing another CHEVROLET MPV but smaller [sort of a mix between a Ford 'C' Max and a Mazda C5]

So far as I can find it appear to be in Europe soon called the CHEVROLET MOKKA, in Europe called the Vauxhall Mokka or Opel Mokka... [found with searching the websites]

Do Thai TV Motors reviews, show cars that are coming here or ones that will never come ? cannot work out if the CHEVROLET MOKKA will it be sold here or not..?

At moment waiting for the Mazda C5, or Subaru XV to come out [end of 2012 or early 2013]

Haven't heard anything that would suggest the Mokka is coming to TH. As I understand it, the (codename) PM-7 coming in 2013 is bigger than the Mokka, but is an MPV (along the same lines as the Zafira, but slightly smaller & taller), not a compact crossover like the Mokka, which appears to based off the T300 (Spark) platform.

Thanks, no the Spark is to small....

So will keep waiting for the Mazda C5, or Subaru XV to come out......... The Suzuki SX4 is the idea size, but is very old now....... Appear to be a lot of New Nissan X-Trails about over the past few months, any good ? the new 2 lt, 2x4 is a good price..

I think you're asking the wrong guy about the X-Trial - to me 1.15M is a helliva lot of money to pay for something that bland wink.png I'm sure it's a great car, but even after 27 months on the market, I just still can't get over it's (lack of) styling..

If you're willing/able to wait, I'd recommend holding off until the XV, the CX-5 and the new Escape launch. Buying in this segment right now, if you don't absolutely have to, is almost like asking for buyer's remorse IMHO smile.png

awesome thread.

On the niche cars, I know of roughly but cannot comment if they will actually come to our fair shores when...

New Mini R56 replacement 2013 (probably available to own 2014)

All New Golf VII on the new VW/Audi shared platform 2013

And on the VW note.....more importantly when will the Golf VII GTI hit our shores - late 2013 or early 2014???

With regards to the X-Trail, i beg to differ on the styling comment, but of course styling is very subjective.

My wife has since 5 years the X-Trail, 2.5 l, 4 WD, so not the same as the new one with 2 l, 2 Wd engine. It is black and even after 5 years I think the car looks cool...a bit "Mafia" with tinted windows. I prefer it by far to the CRV or Captiva, but again this is just my opinion and seein that there are rather few on the streets, my opinion might not be the norm. I like that the car looks different.

On the ownership experience: 5 years andabout 70,000km, nothing to complain, no major issues. Drives very nicely, although the auto is a bit boring, always shifts up to high gear at very low speed, robs you of all the fun. Putting it in Overdrive off helps. Again, this is a different tranny than the new one.

Would worry with the new 2l engine that it might be a bit underpowered. Otherwise there isn't much on the market...maybe by the end of the year the Ford Escape replacement? or you can go Skoda YETI, but probably is not the size you want.

You might to be able to get a shift kit for it.

Yes I like the look of the X-Trail.......... there again the only CRV I like is the MK 2, hate the look of the new one. but then to me good looking for what I want is the Chery Tiggo, love the look of the Suzuki Vitara but is now over 4 years old.

Sure better looking is the Audi Q5, Rav 4, BMW X1 but there silly money..

Sold the D-Max and have the Mazda BT50 Hi-Racer so much easier to get in and out of, [in my 60's not so easy to get out of low cars anymore] just sold my Audi A6, the 2nd car is not used often but nice to have, so looking for a small 4x4 type..... Guess Mazda C5 would be fine + funky looks.

or you can go Skoda YETI

Yes is fine but 1.5+ million here, that is silly money for a 1.2 lt engine

The interior of the C5 looks a little...cheap. But then all Mazdas have since Ford got involved IMHO.

I have a top model CRV (Thai made) now and it is a nice car, the only compaints I have about it are;

1. The air con unit is not very powerful

2. The paint is butter soft and needs an aftermarket protector.

Yeah, back in '78 Mazda had a much nicer interior.

Yup, Toyota has launched new camry nationwide although not Much advertising has been done i think because of the fact that they would like to do grand opening on The motor show,

Toyota is now more focused on sales of hybrid camries rather then the normal one because of not so successful sales of previous hybrid models over The normal ones, they have made the hybrid more featured compared to the normal ones for example Standard features such as smart entry and Push/start is only available in hybrid model and also hate to say this but white pearl is now only available with Hybrids.

Im planning to buy 2.5G version but toyota is not throwing in any freebies and not even free insurance and road tax

Would like to know if any of you can get free insurance from your dealer?

Also would like to know if its better to book one in the upcoming motorshow or just buy it from your local dealer?

Just want to know when Toyota is going to launch the FT 86 ? will it have a real manual gearbox and how much is gonna cost.. Surely the dream of 2 door, sporty, manual car at a reasonable price isn't likely.

Welcome back MRO did you get banned and came back in disguise
