I am coming to Phuket the end of the month. I have been browsing through hotel in Kata and Karon beach. I saw a hotel which looked like it was in the centre of town, not on a hill. It had seating out on the foyer next to to road, could be the reception or bar area. Does anyone have any idea of the name. Thanks

Well I was not actually...just saw one which had seating out on the side of the pavement. I suppose it's a bit stupid of me as there must be hundreds. I will just have to go through them all again.

No not beach front. It looked like it was opposite some buildings, I think the building might be beach side. I will have a look on Tripadvisor. Its just that so many hotel have really steep climb up to them. Thanks for replying

Might I suggest:

Look through the hotel sites, find something that suits you for location and price, then ask on here for opinions on acessability; value, etc

I haven't stayed there. but it's very central location in Kata, almost Karon, and just a few minutes walk to Kata beach. You are close to some ok restaurants with western food, and also the few "girlie-bars" that Kata have. I would prefer to live a little bit more south in Kata, but I like to have it quiet around me...
