Bangkok Good Street Food

Featured Replies

Long time did not visit Bangkok wondering how it's like now. Will be going to Bangkok next week, wondering anyone can recommend me some good street food , a place where there are lot's of variety ( excluding Yaowarat )

It will be better if it's near BTS. Thank you in advanced!

Sukhumvit 38. Famous for the street food and good variety. Right at the bottom of the bts Thong Lo stop. The shops don't open until after 3-4pm, so don't go for lunch.

Victory monument have a ton of street food all over the area. Victory point in a good start lots of good stuff to eat.

There are two places I frequent a lot and both are very close to BTS stations.

1) Asok station (exit 2 if I remember correctly). Just as you walk into the parking lot in front of the American dinar and the club "insomnia" you'll find a nice little Thai eatery. Great food, good selection and very reasonably priced.

2) On Nut BTS - there is a wee night market at the steps of the BTS station - good selection of food and very, very reasonably priced.

Great recommendations and thank you guys!! More please at least I can visit different place for my 10 days food tour. At least I have more to post on my next issue!!!

I second Soi 38, a good selection of stalls and right next to the Skytrain

Mall food courts are good for this kind of food too. The food court in the bottom floor of Siam Paragon is probably my favorite, good food and a huge selection of dishes and right at Siam Station on the skytrain.

I can thoroughly recommend the street food at the Garden Bee 'restaurant' on Silom road near its junction with Narathiwas road. It utilises the space outside the SCB bank there and it has been there many years and opens in the early evening and remains open all night, every night.

On nut, the place is not near but actually at the bts. They have a takeaway section on the right and you can also eat there on the left. Right! good food, thai street food. Good luck

Sukhumvit 11 at night - pretty much everything you could want. Some great beef noodle places, bbq meat, sweet dishes etc. Something for everyone.

Ari is great for street food and small shops of many different types. Get off the BTS at Ari and exit on the West side (Opposite the Villa Market mall). Just walk back into the soi (Pathon Yothin Soi 7 or Ari Soi 1)... great stuff both for lunch and at dinner time
