Does anyone have a Wellcom A8 phone? If so would be pleased to hear any comments about it. It is now reduced to 2,500 baht which must make it about the cheapest Android phone available. Spec seems OK but would love to get some comments before I buy one for the daughter. Thanks

Hi. i was in the wellcom service centre the other day getting a A90+ re rommed (i rooted it and lost wifi hotspot)

While there had a quick play with the A8 (i think) Its a restitive screen but not to bad. looking at the specs its AIS/tot 3G only 900/2100 3G.

And the battery looks small at 1000mah. but with that screen probably ok. the A90 is 4,000ish has a bigger screen and decent battery life (about 2 days, or 1 hard day) and true 3h/ dtac 850 3g

Other options would be the Samsung Mini / y at 4,995 (you can choose 850 or 900 3g)

As a 1st smart phone and if your daughters young then the A8 will be ok. otherwise with that restive screen she may come to hate daddy if the other kids think her phones rubbish

Hi, my name is Dutchmill. I am from Holland and new on this forum. Last month I was in Thailand and saw a Wellcom A8 in Chiangmai in a big C. Unfortunately I did not buy it, because I did not know anything about this brand. But now I am back in Holland, I regret this.

Is there a possibility to buy this phone online? Or does somebody know where to buy this phone in Bangkok or in Pattaya? Thanks for your time.
