Moving Address And Internet

Featured Replies

if i set up a new contract say for 3bb or CAT or whoever in my condo, can I change address and move my internet with it, or do i have to pay the remainder of my contract 12 months and resign a new contract? how much is the reconnection fee if i change address?

Whenever I have moved address I have had to start a new contract but that has usually been me moving to a different area.

Why not ask the company?

Moving usually means disconnection/contract termination at the old address and reconnection/new contract at the new address. And when moving to a new location don't assume you can get your old ISP as they may not be authorized to offer service at your new address.

Interesting. Last spring I moved my 3BB account from Pattaya to Hua Hin with just a service charge. After I paid the service charge in the Hua Hin 3BB office, the installers were at my townhouse within 24 hours and the service was functional, and my existing "grandfathered" Premier 3Mbps plan was honored.

IIRC, I had "suspended" my service in Pattaya at a 3BB office there a few days prior to my move.

The only reason I did transfer my service rather than terminate in Pattaya and re-apply in Hua Hin was I wanted to continue my Premier 3Mbps plan, which was no longer being offered.

Its more than a billing address change....you must request to move service at the local office. Hopefully your new location is not full :)
