Camera Lenses In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any suggestions for good, reliable vendors of camera lenses (wide angle, for a digital SLR camera)?

Because these don't normally come cheap, I'm trying to locate a place that has a good selection to choose from to find a balance between price and brand/features.

thanks!

Big second hand camera shop at Fortune Town (2nd or 3rd floor)

Leica/Nikon etc.

Do you mean the shop up on the 4th floor?

Also, Fotofile (I think) has a shop on the ground floor of MBK, where they have a lot of second hand equipment, including lenses. Seemed to have a pretty good selection of brands, last time I looked.

Fortune Tower has opened a large remodeled photo shop area on the 3rd level, going from the center elevator/escalator towards the electronics area. Many new shops, some with a wide array of professional gear.

As a side note, they have also opened many new and interesting restaurants in the basement.

Several camera shops at the Zeer IT Mall, Rangsit. They all sell lenses.

IMHO for new lens almost everywhere, but the best choice in MBK (Fotofile) and Phantip (grey market). For the second hamd again Fotofile at MBK (ground floor) and Fortune Town

If it is Cannon you are looking for there is the Cannon shop in MBK that has a huge range of lenses. Third or Forth Floor i think.

I can't vouch for any of them, but there are numerous camera shops in MBK including a luster of them near the aforementioned Canon store and a couple lower down that are long established but in difficult to describe locations..

I also noticed one a few stores in Central World near Zen. I had a good look around, but I don't do dslr so can't advise on the lenses..

ec-mall.com + Pantip Plaza: New equipment with or without a factory warranty

thaidphoto.com: Secondhand gear section

Fotofile MBK: Rugged top-tier gear by the BTS entrance. Film, used bodies and lenses (a bit expensive) on the ground floor. Gallery in the new camera section on the 4th? floor. They sell store-brand bags that are rugged, subtle, and cheap.

Pirom Plaza, Wangburapa: Camera repair, huge selection of bodies in any format, huge selection of lenses, lots of studio equipment. Everything is very cheap.
