Thai - Cambodia Conflict Thai Troops Retaliate, 100 Cambodian Soldiers Dead in Fierce Clash
you are correct sir: The maximum range of a field artillery gun can vary significantly depending on the specific weapon, ammunition type, and even the firing conditions. Generally, a standard 155mm howitzer has a range of around 14-19 miles with conventional ammunition. -

In Thailand: What are your plans when Nuclear War happens?
Just remember the true story about the man living in England in the late 1930s and he could see that there was going to be a major war starting soon. So he searched the maps of the world to find the safest place to hide out until the war was over. He decided an island would be safest, one far away from Europe and Britain, and on an island he would be self sufficient, he could live on fish and seafoods, and local fruit and vegetables. So he carefully considered everything and made his selection. Then in August 1939, just a couple of weeks before the outbreak of WW2, this man left England for a small remote island in the South Pacific called Guadalcanal. -

In Thailand: What are your plans when Nuclear War happens?
If only what you say could actually be true. No one in their right mind would start a war. Also, unintended mishaps can get out of hand, fast. And, we were fortunate to escape the consequences of two major mishaps in recent decades. If you know Graham Allison, it is people like him who have done as much as any individual to campaign for abolishing of nukes, and other weapons of mass destruction. And it is he who, just prior to the Ukraine war, estimated the chances of nuclear war during the next decade. It is not only he, but also others such as William Perry, who have stated a 50% probability within a decade. How valid are their predictions about something so unpredictable? I would say it is hard to say. Still, the probability is not zero. This will be a high impact event, maybe even close to an extinction event. And, by the way, that book by Jacobsen which details the impact of war is not science fiction, at all. The book is NOT fiction. The format is somewhat of a story form, but the entire book is based on important interviews and research. I am not saying that you should read this book, unless you have a strong interest in doing so. For sure, the book argues strongly for disarmament, complete disarmament. However, such a thing seems next to impossible..... This is why the present state of things seems so dire. So, how much can anyone plan for this? Maybe very little. Or, maybe people should plan to do other things before the event? -
