Upcoming Us Presidential Election

Obama enjoys a lot of support from the Unions. Just like the Obamaphone woman in Cleveland who was paid $11/hr by SEIU (Service Employees Internationale Union) to protest against Romney, in Massachusetts union members are FINED $150-$250 if they didn't show up to support the Democrat running for the Senate, Elizabeth Warren.

The cameraman asks the union member if he was at an earlier debate between Warren and her Republican opponent, Senator Scott Brown.

"Uh-huh," the union member says, nodding.

"Did you guys get fined if you weren't there?" the cameraman asks.

"Yeah," the union member replies.

"How much did you get fined?" the cameraman asks.

"A hundred and fifty," the man says, although he later adds, "It's two-fifty if you don't go." Watch the video below:

Whichever gets to be POTUS, one thing is certain. The VP will be a Catholic of Irish extraction; one breath from the presidency, remember.

But don't worry; one is pro gay marriage, and the other is against it.... so you've still got a basis on which to make your choice.

Joe Biden always says what he means.

Pretty much says it all.

Obama gets serious before the second debate. No, I'm not talking about Big Bird, I'm talking about the American Idol judge feud...

President Obama thinks Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey can sort out 'Idol' feud

The President of the United States has weighed in on the greatest feud of our time. And by that we mean yes, Barack Obama has commented on the on-set tensions between "American Idol" hosts Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

So what? It was a campaign spot. Good interview if you go past the fluff.

I've not heard of the Nicki female, but I assume she is a judge in yet another 'Find the air-head celebrity' show and is therefore high in the viewer ratings for Obama supporters.

Should someone in the position of POTUS be indulging in discussion of this sort of thing, or should he be trying to recover some of the trillions of dollars he has 'mislaid' during his first term?

"I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident," the president reassured. "I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause, I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."

'Outstanding artists' ?? My arse !!

POTUS should indulge in such things popular with his people IF he can pull it off. Obama can. Romney can't. I would not base a vote on such things.

Hey, there's nothing else going on in the worlds so why not? Why not interview with radio DJs instead of a real journalist? After all, this is probably why he was so unprepared for the first debate. I wonder how many townhall debate questions he'll get asking about what music he has on his iPod?

we must give Obama credit for knowing how to reach his voting base i.e. fans of The View, Oprah, SNL,Dancing with the Stars etc..IMO for being known as a deep thinker his followers seem a bit shallow.

They are known as "low information voters".

And we should give Romney credit, not for knowing how to reach his voting base but for knowing just how much he can get away with. If you look at the demographic you will find that most are already willing to believe practically anything for no reason. You could have Hitler running as a Republican candidate and he would still get the votes just because he was a Christian.

And if Hitler were the Democratic Party candidate blacks and some other groups would still vote for him just because he's a Democrat. You tried this game with your earlier pic of the racist as the average Republican voter, now with this one saying Republicans would vote for Hitler because he was Christian. We could play this tit-for-tat game all day long and I guarantee I'd outscore you. There are many more ugly warts on the Democrat Party.

I would have to agree with you on that no question. However, there is also no question that Democrat's would vote for Hitler at a much lower percentage than Republicans. Both sides have their sheep, if the election were counted on sheep the Republicans would win a landslide.

Romney makes Ken Ham and even Hovind look like honest people. Even Yingluck at least makes a passing attempt to cover up lies.

Great stuff! I'm curious...who do the Walmart customers vote for?

Sorry. Still divided.

Love it.....as an interested neutral, the message is clear. Rise above it and get over the petty-minded BS. I am a huge fan of the US and its people, the partisanship is a crying shame....

Americans - a Public Service Film by Kid Rock and Sean Penn

The joke of it all is that the differences between elephants and donkeys is largely different region by region (ie is a New England Republican the same as a Texan Republican, or a Californian Democrat the same as one from Arkansas?), and overall inconsequential compared to political divides outside the US. If you think Obama is a commie/Marxist whatever I suggest you look at real commie/Marxist parties they look, sound and smell a lot different to the Democrats.

Similarly "clinging on to guns and god" applies in some parts of the US but most Republicans are typical middle-class folk looking to make a better life for their kids.

The sooner Nov 6 is finished and the majority of US voters make their selection the better and we can get back to squabbling about immigration and fantasy caliphates.....

This one's all over the airwaves in America now:

The republican party HAS become an extremely radical right wing party. Very ideological. Totally inflexible. Obstructionist to the point of possible treasonous intentions. They almost ALL have signed pledges no new taxes, not even a compromise of ONE dollar to trade for TEN in cuts. They didn't used to be this extreme and did include a good portion of moderate republicans but they are almost ALL extreme now and to act like they aren't is total denial. The democrats are objectively mostly slightly left of center and do include a wide variety of levels from many conservative democrats to yes a few socialists. The divides are REAL. The meme that they are both extreme is as totally wrong as the meme that there is little difference. They are not both extreme. ONLY the republicans are extreme and there is indeed a HUGE difference. Elections do NOT change much of anything in this regard to heal the divisions. The US has been and remains deeply divided. The divisions remain and until a way can be found to break up the radical obstructionist nature of the republican party, there is small hope for improvement. Recent polls show ZERO percent of black Americans support Romney. Not divided? My arse.

I'll grant you that these Tea Party Republicans are a cartoonish obstructionist lot, but then so are the Black Caucus. No one can say that about the Black Caucus however without being called a racist.

There are no more moderate republicans with any power. Isn't that proof enough? There are plenty of moderate democrats.

How the GOP Destroyed its Moderates

Again, the meme that both parties are similarly extreme just doesn't reflect the actual situation.

JT I am a republican and I was an active member of the young democrats when i went to a convention and wittnessed how unflexable my fellow democrat leaders were to any republican idea. i resent being told that i am the same as the democrates when in fact I am rational to see the faults of both parties and able to reason why free enterprise is a better choice for me.
