I am travelling with three friends and will be arriving in Pattaya in 50 days, but who's counting. We are staying in Pattaya for around 6 days and then travelling west to the Kanchanaburi Province.

On our way to the Kanchanburi Province we wouldn't mind stopping for a couple of days at a smaller town that offers the same services as Pattaya but on a smaller scale. I would like the town to be not too far out of the way and does not necessary have to be on the beach.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is nowhere within easy reach of Pattaya, with the same facilities, unless you consider Jomptien, which is really an extention of Pattaya.

Why don't you try Pattaya. You may fallin love with the place and never see Kanchanburi.
