cooked
whatever goes wrong, you can hopefully learn something. I had been thinking about it, but on reading this post I have definitely decided: 1. Joint account ok, I put in about 10 000 Baht a month for general shopping. 2. Another 20 000 a month into my Bangkok Bank personal account. 3. The rest stays in Switzerland as far as possible, earning interest and profiting from the strong positon of the Swiss Franc. My credit card can get cash from there any time. You can live with someone for love, getting married is about money, so this is one of the things you have to think about. I'll think about a making a will sometime. Popular Post xthAi76s
Half or more of the guys marry/date straight up whores and then lament the day these types of things happen to them. Sorry for the OP. Not singling him out at all as this kind of thing can happen to anyone. But all of you guys who are in the bargirl wife camp, please don't offer any advice or pontificate on the issues of marriage in Thailand as your judgement has already been suspect. I've been married to a Thai woman for quite many years with absolutely none of the crazy issues you bargirl marrying guys whine about. Most all my expat friends married to Thais have the same story as me. Sure anyone can be shot and killed, but if you sell drugs, your chances increase substantially. OP, best of luck to you. I hope some of the guys on the board who have some common sense or actually relationship skill will respond. If I were you, I would stay away from this board and seek consul from close friends and family. Take care Edited April 13, 2012 by xthAi76s
MisterTee
if those vehicles are in her name ,forget about them (legally hers to keep /trade /sell etc ) if they are in your name ,report them stolen and collect insurance cheque Not true if really legally married. then things are split 50/50 time to get a lawyer it sounds to me Get a lawyer and you'll get stiffed again. Puccini
From the OP: ...so i woke up this morning and the pajero was gone...and the joint account was empty... So he went to bed last night, at what time we know not, woke up at 3am, lit his kerosene lamp and looked for the motor-cars in his front yard, to find them gone, rushed to his computer and powered it up, checked the balance of his bank account, and knowing his priorities immediately logged onto Thaivisa to post his lament at 3.28am. surayu
Blessed are they who believe. If it's a trollish post or not, to me it's irrelevant. The point being arised, which is a very serious subject and we saw many times people ending up exactly in these kind of situation, it's seriously worth talking about. It doesn't matter if your partner is rich or poor, people are humans and humans make mistakes, even machines make mistakes, nobody is totally safe, common sense however definetely helps in being safer.....
