I need to have some aluminium welding done to my motorbike engine.

Does anyone know or someone or a company that does this type of welding? I've searched on the internet but couldn't find anything.

I'm in the Klong Tan (near Ramkamhaeng) area of Bkk, but anywhere in Bangkok would be ok.

Ask to see some of their work first. Ali. welding is one of the few things I tried to learn but was a complete failure at. My tig and mig welding was passable (never used the skill, just wanted to learn) It worked but it was ugly. I tried ali. welding on some offcuts at an old friends fabrication business. He had twelve fabricators but only one who could do ali. Even my friend who has done underwater welding can't do it. He can however to cast iron to mild steel welding which we both made a mint out of in the Hampstead area of London. Listed buildings is where the money is at.

What do you need welded ?

One of the important things we do is bring up the parts temperature before you start welding ,

We put heads in an oven ,

not needed if its just sheet metal or a simple thin side cover.

Also I see many welders in LOS using TIG and no gas ! , the gas is important to keep the weld area clean.

but gas costs money !
