True: "Congratulations With Your............." (Blablabla)

Featured Replies

1. I'm living at four kilo from the main road.

2. only True and 3BB is "serving" inside the "village" / compound.

3. until some time ago it wasn't possible to obtain TRUE "high speed" tongue.png because they only placed amplifiers near / in the sois which were "profitable" for them (I suppose).

4. Hopping from True to 3BB gave more speed indeed but their "service" was an even bigger disaster, so back to True.

5. In the mean time "my" soi seemed to be more interesting for True and they installed an amplifier so I could make a contract with them for 14 Meg download and 1 Meg upload, paying Baht 1.800 Baht/month. (receiving the sms: "congratulations with your SUPER high speed Internet")

6. I (have to) accept the slow-down during "peak-hours" I understand in the mean time.

The main-problem with True is that more than regularly the connection cuts out which is showing in freezing the Net and a bit later the message from ZyXEL: "no DSL-connection". Although this lasts from seconds to some minutes it's very disturbing when one is just downloading some big files.

Although I learned in the mean time in LOS that complaining in places like a True-shop is useless we mentioned it when we paid and the only uninterested answer was that True is extending their services or something like that, i.o.w. it's all in the game.

I must admit that the latest frequent speed-tests are showing that their contracted speeds are according but unfortunately frequently disrupted by off-line spikes.

Somebody-else with the same problem?

Pretty much same same everywhere, I think. I have True in Bangkok and am always getting outages (from seconds to minutes, and occasionally hours), plus highly variable speeds.

TiT, unfortunately.

Posted about Smartzone on another thread, but I have come to know that they use True for their internet service, so I suppose the intermittent outages we are seeing are True's fault, not Smartzone's. However, I still can't get non-MS Windows machines on the net, for the last few days.

It's really annoying, especially that NOBODY gives a d@&n and you continue paying full price, on top of that if too late with your payment: line cut....................

I'm living in the suburbs of BKK, so I think somebody near lower Sukhumvit is better off with the traffic-"specialists" around...................

Well, I can assure you that's truly TRUE, as I don't use any other services:
