Travel To Phetchabun

Featured Replies

I’m planning to visit Phetchabun for 3 days in July. I would prefer to fly up there – can anyone give me the best advice on what airport to travel to? I was thinking maybe flying to Udon Thai and then getting a bus to Phetchabun – would this be a easier way?

Last time I travelled in 2009 was via bus and it was from BKK and took almost 12 hours. I would like to avoid that if I can.Hi,

I’m planning to visit Phetchabun for 3 days in July.

If anyone could help me then it was kindly appreciated.

udon or chiang mai via air asia .... or bus .....

Nok Air to Phitsanulok or Thai Air to Khon Kaen would be many hours closer than Udon or Chiang Mai. It's a gorgeous drive no matter which direction you end up coming in from.

Udon Thani is almost as far from Phetchabun as Bangkok so flying there doesn't sound like a good.

I don't know which bus you took last time, but Bangkok => Phetchabun is only about 375 km so I don't think the bus should take more than 5-6 hours. However, I don't have any personal experience with this.
