Arriving New Year's Eve

Featured Replies

Guys,

First post here but been reading this for months.......booked my seat to LOS last second and will be arriving in Patters 12 NOON 31/12/05, but no room booked as of yet.

Hence, does anyone know of an acceptable hotel/guesthouse where there's still 1 room available tomorrow?? Paying 1500THB as max for a decent room.

What's the situation like down in Soi 7/8 or Soi Diana and Buakaow??

Heard there is also a new Soi opposite Areca lodge?? Anything there??

Thanks for your help!

Cheers!

I know where there's a recently vacated circus container............ :o

(Sorry private joke).

Seriously your going to be hard pushed to find somewhere decent you may just have to take whatever's available for the first night or so........

Your best bet is a room above a bar if your a Brit then Soi Yamoto would be a good place to start in Soi Yamoto theres the Rising Sun , The Clinic, The Jolly Roger..........all Brit run but dont expect any luxuries.

Basic again but apparently clean/friendly there is The Peacock Bar on Soi Boukhao (bottom of Soi Diana and turn left then 50 yards on the left) looks a bit glum from the outside but rooms ok apparently.

You could also try Soi Lengkee its directly opposite the soi Boukhao end of Soi Diana Inn there are 3 or 4 hotels up the soi on the right............and also guesthouses on the left...............might be better starting your search there than trying Soi Yamoto thinking about it.

Good Luck anyways.

Always Day/Nite Hotel who have unexpected vacancies - mind you death rate there is rather high so perhaps you are better off elsewhere. :o

Thanks for all your comments, but despite heading straight to Day Night where now all ghosts have taken over, went straight to end of Third Road, lots of new developments and plenty of rooms. That's just before you go up to Jomtien.

Found a great place with pool view room, nice and clean for 700/night, they say its 500 baht in low season!!

HAPPY 2006!!

You were bloody lucky!!!

Anyone who knows Pattaya also knows that even Jesus would struggle to find a stable on NY Eve its a nightmare.

2 years ago i was stuck without a room on the night and i already had a room which i had to vacate so i went looking for somewhere on the 30th and even though i tried over 100 places it was No room sir No room Sir.

In the end the head receptionist from my usual hotel found me a room by ringing round.

You are a lucky guy !!
