Next week, Wednesday about 0830h Venus will start its transit of the Sun, a relatively rare happening. Can anyone advise where I might be able to buy a solar filter in Bangkok or as an alternative welders glass. Many thanks

Ooh, almost forgot about this. I dunno where to get your resources though. Welder's glass possibly at a go-to hardware store. Though another concern is length of lens...

I managed to capture it by using polarising filters and 1/8000 @f40 and 100ISO. Only had a 200mm with me unfortunately, but was still happy to get it.
