It was last weekend (30 DEC 05) in BKK coming from Ko Lipe, ok it is the holidays for New Year, gone by taxi throgh China Town and had seen lot of durians as in Hat Yai before, it must be the season for durians.

Next day I went to the market north of memorial bridge but did not get Durian (60 B/kilo) ready to eat when opend, after 2 days the pieces where ok. Good tast and smoth.

Two days later 2 nd Jan there where no more durian sellers in China Town. Also none in Big C opp. Zen where I have seen Dec 04.

3 rd Jan I was adviced to go to the market next to JJ weekend market and yes there I found what I looked for at 300 B/kg for the inside pieces when oppend. Expensif but was also offered for 500 B/kg.

I am confused because I do not know when is the season for Durian in BKK as I had been only in Dec in LOS and where could I go next time to get this nice fruit ? ( I am based around GPO/Silom).

basically durian season is around May

nowaday , we can find durian in other season also ,as from Nonthaburi

Nontaburi has good cheap durian.

Every Songkran I fill the car up with Durian from Lopburi - cheap there 25 baht a kilo.
