Getting Sim In Transit Lounge?

Featured Replies

Hey Guys

is there a place inside BKK transit lounge where I can get AIS prepaid SIM card and activate it? flying directly to phuket airport.. but there is a 3 hrs wait in BKK.. so we were thinking to get a prepaid microsim 3G from BKK airport inside transit while waiting

or should i get from phuket.. looking for AIS desk which can help setup and activate.. preferred!!!

Visit a 7/11 or Familiy Mart, buy 1-2-call [AIS] put into mobile, make a phone call or more. Buy extra credit...

No help needed, if you know, where to put your SIM-card in your phone.

Level 2, near door #7.

Note that you have the option to clear mid-field Immigration, and transition to domestic flights. As mentioned, maybe you can find a SIM in a shop air-side"?

Or you can clear Immigration in the one of the main halls, proceed through baggage claim (assumes your bags are interlined through to HKT), walk through Customs, keep walking forward until you see the numbered doors, look for the AIS, DTAC and TrueMove shops.

For domestic flights there is a relatively quick and painless security check-point on level 4 which will put you back into the domestic departures airside area.

It sounds like the answer is no then?
