Rooney reportedly out for 8 weeks or so with knee ligament damage.

At least we're top of the league injury table - 12 injuries! CBJ is the latest - 'illness'

You might have the most injuries but City's injuries are the most talked about laugh.png

And Yaya Toure is playing like he's injured too. Silva also looked like he was carrying a nasty injury.

Rooney,s injury may give Will Keane the chance to shine thumbsup.gif

I was appalled to read about the Danes putting the price up to 71 quid a ticket; not right, and I hope Ed WoodWood takes issue with UEFA and anybody else who'll listen. I know there's plans by ManU supporters to do a banner protest but I'm guessing the seats might get a kicking again.

It has to be wrong for one club to take advantage of the other club's fans like this.

If you want a good laugh watch Man U play.

never mind a good laughcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif how depressing is it to not only watch the players, but having to see those 2 on the managerial benchsad.pngsad.png

like a pair of down and outs waiting for the soup kitchen to arrive.LVG cant do anything about his looks, but GIGGS is like a baby who not only lost his dummy but the rattle aswell.

get rid of the pair NOW.they can always get a job promoting SMILE TV.

not sure mourino will want the job, unless they give him an open cheque book.

if they dont act now it will be a case for the suicide squad.

I'd have thought a sacking and a Mourinho appointment imminent now. can't really be allowed to carry on, this debacle can it.

Shame in a way because its been pleasant not having to listen to the ignorant Portuguese gobshite. Guaranteed Jose would have played to holding midfielders, nicked a goal and sat back for the win against the scandinavian giants.

He has the same Claus in his contract as Moyes, no qualification to the champions league he can be sacked with a lower pay out. The Glazers will wait until it is not possible to or wait until season ends.

Positive's, we blooded more young players and it is only half way through the tie we can still go through.

Negatives, we are shiiiittte.

When the away fans are chanting "we are shit" the end is nigh.

No big deal really though is it. Most United fans don't expect them to break into the top four or van Gaal to retain his job. As you say, unless by mutual consent, he'll be gone when it becomes mathematically impossible.

never mind who went to mu after the fergie era it was going to be tough.with some players ready to hang up their boots, others leaving and owners only interested in one thing, they had become a goldmine but sadly enough they started using useless props to hold up the roof, now its almost caved in.

who wants to take over this lot,you have to feel sorry for the manager its not his fault.will mourino be interested i dont think so.i havent had a look at the stock market but i bet their shares are not that popular right now.

are the glazier's still the owners? if so their palms will be sweating blood.

maybe someone with a big big wallet is needed,so come on dai and vici how about it.

The manager United should appoint who would create the correct transition and combine this with bringing in new players in Marcelo Bielsa. Ticks all the boxes. Of course theres no chance of them doing so but maybe there lies the problem. Mourinho offers nothing longterm and short term the odd trophy and another possible player revolt because he's a <deleted>.

Biers has years of experience, won league titles, managed in europe and coached the Argentine national side. He has a proven policy in bringing through young talent, produces incredibly fit sides and has the charisma and experience needed to manage at that level.

I have no doubt though that the owners will continue on the road to ruin, because theres no long term stability in Mourinho who, given a couple of weeks incumbent will believe and behave like he's bigger the Man United.

A nice thought Carmine but Bielsa being the principled to a fault Marxist that he is would likely last a very short time at a club like United. He doesn't even last long at clubs with a socialist history ! Wonderful manager but at least slightly nuts.

Amazing that just the other day A. Bilbao and Marseille fans got together before their club's match to celebrate the time when Bielsa managed their clubs. I can't say I've ever heard of anything like that happening before. He's adored at both places.

Add Newall's Old Boys to that list and lefts face it, a bit of a legend in Argentina too. Ofcourse he's nuts but he's also brilliant and charismatic with it.

Can you imagine the shockwaves he'd send through Carrington!! He has his own unique training methods and one thing for sure, the United squad would be one helluva lot fitter than the current batch.

It would also add some great fun to the league. biggrin.png

just wonder how much more can the fans take, this is a worldwide name not a 30,000 fans a match club.could there be a revolt?something needs to be done and quick.

i love watching good teams[we have never had one] but when you see teams like, bacca, real madrid, psg, juve, these players have had to come from somewhere, there was once a time they would pay to come to MANU.

where's the like's of becks, scoles, but, sheri, for me some old boys need to try and save this club before the door close's shut.

Fear not Meat. I hear Crouch is on his way from Stoke to be paired with Fellaini up front. Happy Days !!gigglem.gif

Careful mrboj....your Coco Pops might go down the wrong way.

I would keep maybe 2-3 players and then get rid of the rest of them, if you want to play in a Man U shirt you need to be top quality.

sorry KING i forgot all about you,the bloke leeds said was a pack of trouble, wernt they right HE WAS to every team he played against,no need to name him.

remember his quote to the press "when seagulls follow the trawler its because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea" so up yours.

Interesting article in the Guardian. From my non-ManU perspective I find very little to disagree with (I well remember Busby '68 to Fergie period). Be interested to know what the ManU fans on here think.

"Once Ferguson had selfishly decided to stick around after stepping down as manager, a period of turbulence became inevitable. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it, as the philosopher George Santayana said. Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby had presided over empires with which their names became synonymous, but no one could summon the vision and courage to tell two such giant figures to clear off and tend their allotments, as Liverpool did when their own great Scot, Bill Shankly, was deemed to have served his time. The brutality of his expulsion from Anfield broke Shanklys heart, but it allowed the club to sustain a period of unprecedented success. If David Moyes was the Wilf McGuinness of the post-Ferguson period, Louis van Gaal is surely the Frank OFarrell, doomed to preside over a mini-era of further decline.

Thanks for your commiserations, gratefully accepted at this sad time sad.png and after suffering the same on countless occasions following your beloved Man City you can understand the pain we are currently going through.

Oh we understand alright Peter. The type of pain we had for 3 decades doesn't go away too quickly.

Hope your pain doesn't last 3 decades!!

Actually ManUs pain lasted nearly 3 decades last time, 26 years to be precise.

But what we won and the way we did it put paid to that pain....and for how many years.

Form is temporary class is permanent thumbsup.gif

Any ManU fans with an opinion on the points of the malaise referred to in the article? Agree or disagree with it?

Football is just a game, not life or death,if United struggle for a period then OK,all clubs have there ups and downs, makes the good times even sweeter thumbsup.gif

Think we all know that "Football is just a game, not life or death" despite what Frankly Mr Shankley said, but you as a ManU fan, do you have an opinion on the points in the Guardian?

Following united in the 70's our lean times was the best time of my life, it was not about winning just turning up every week and cheering on the reds, this lean period is a walk in the park, we will be back it might take a year or two but we will be back.
