Missing Filipina in Thailand found

MANILA, Philippines—A Filipina who went missing in Thailand has been found, the Philippine Embassy in Thailand reported.

Kristine Enriquez Salvador, 25, is now safely reunited with her family, Vice-Consul Edgar Badajos said in a statement released Wednesday.

But the circumstances surrounding Salvador’s disappearance were not disclosed to the public.

If you rule out mental problems, (elderly dementia etc.) 99% of the time these are cases where the person themselves intentionally cuts ties with friends and family for whatever reason. That is why missing persons cases get very little to no law enforcement attention unless there are suspicious circumstances.

But the circumstances surrounding Salvador’s disappearance were not disclosed to the public.

also, completely shrouding the reason does little to stimulate public interest when the inevitable next person goes "missing"...
