Expat Clubs In Bangkok

British Club is open to most expats

Thank you for all your replies. As it's now Sunday morning, hundreds of Pattaya expats are gearing up for one of the weekly meetings. In all cases, there are updated websites and it's quite a slick production with a buffet. For whatever reason, nothing similar as of yet in Bkk but I do note that the British Club has an almost daily event of some sort. Although there is an unpublished membership cost on their site:

The fees for the British Club are here, it's nice there and whilst I think the prices for food and beverages are good value, the membership fees are quite high. You really need to use all the facilities on a regular basis to get value.

I agree which is why I'm a little surprised there's not a pay as you go scheme like in Pattaya. ie: Starting at 90 baht per visit for unlimited fruit and juice/water is good value.

You can buy cheap fruit in many places in Bangkok, although 90 baht for a fruity buffet is still amazing

I think the annual membership fees are a good way to fund the facilities and keep out the riffraff

The British Club is open to any nationality, there are many Thai members.

They have rules like not being able to use mobile phones in the bar and restaurant, not a bad idea in my view, I do find it to be a tad snobbish.
