Ipod Touch Help!

Featured Replies

I am totally new to Apple devices - my apologies!

Recently a friend was gifted with an iPod Touch 8GB and asked me to load some music & movies.

Reading around & trying out methods, I only found a way of creating a play-list with iTunes and syncing with the device. This seems to wipe out whatever is already in the device.

Is there no simple way to to do this? Like copy & paste or drag & drop?

For example, how can I copy one or two songs or movies on to it, which are already on my PC?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You said it, drag and drop, open itunes, wait for the ipod to connect, if you want you may create a new playlist on the ipod, just right click it, otherwise open a explorer window and drag and drop your file on the ipod, or the playlist you want the item to be in, on the ipod. If you sync it will usually mess things up.

An iPod can only be synced to one computer to prevent music sharing. It would be better for you to give your friend your music so they could put it on their computer into iTunes then sync it to their iPod.

Thank you very much for your tips which helped me to find something useful.

If you enable 'Manually manage music & videos' in iTunes, drag and drop is possible.
