How long do Marriage visas take to be granted for Australia these days?

They officially say anywhere from 6-9mths but I think I remember someone getting 1 in 3mths.

Can anybody shed some light on the current situation?

I would think it depends on the strength of the application, the official waiting time may be set at a more extreme level than the average, This then avoids endless queries from people wanting to know why theirs wasnt done in 3 months.
