If you have a work permit, saying that you'll be teaching English at a school, then you could also likely teach children from that school, to swim (So long as you do it in English), at that school.

Or if you're just teaching your kids, plus the neighbours kids, then it'd be fine.

lol

Although if you wanted to do it independently, for money, then you'd technically need a work permit.

However if you wanted to do it for money, I think that people would care, about as much as they care about you wearing a helmet on your motorcycle

Some schools do have swimming programs (competitive). Most are private schools but some of the elite government schools may have them also.

Last year our granddaughter and two of our great-nieces had free swimming lessons at Ubon Sports College during the long school holiday (March-May); there were beginners and more advanced sections.

Not sure whether or not it was on again this year as no family members involved. Hope it was though for the sake of Ubon's kids - not just swimming, but futsul, music, taekwondo, judo, and several others.

Likewise my school (Government School), has a swimming program, although not for everyone, just for the English Program students. It's not really about being competitive though, just about teaching them to swim I think (At least I don't remember ever hearing about them going to a swimming sports competition lol)
