I was looking up on Google about pla Jarramet, a type of fresh water fish I have in my pond. I have been told they are sterile and after 2 years there are no sighns of young, so I assume that to be true.

Apparently the fish eggs are sterilized by a shock cold process.

Any way through my reserch I find that another name for these fish is Pacu and that they are related to piranha, and have been known to bite the balls off fisher men. Any body been swimming with Pla Jarramet in the pond. ?

I have never heard of pla Jarramet, but I would be surprised if they are pacu. Pacus are native to South America, and while related to the piranha, they have flat teeth and eat more vegetable matter than meat. They are often kept as aquarium fish.

The only place other than the Amazon River basin where they have been found, to the best of my knowledge, is in Papua New Guinea, where they were introduced. They are now considered a pest there.

As far as biting humans in the water, highly doubtful.

Pacu are indeed Jaramet, and are here in lakes and ponds in Thailand, they were brought from south america, along with the giant redtail catfish and others

Had to look it up, and yes, pacu were introduced here for sport fishing.

Still have to give it a no, though, as to chewing on people's dangling appendages.
