M.R.I. In Pattaya

Need an MRI for my lower back, was quoted 20K by BPH, all in.

Anyone know anywhere else who may do it for less? seems kinda pricey for Thailand, I had a full shoulder MRI done in Montreal last summer at a private clinic for 600 bucks.

Used the search feature and I found an old thread regarding this, but was wondering if anyone had any updated thoughts or suggestions.

Thank you.

You can get it for maybe 5-7,000 less in Bangkok but don't know if that's worth the trip to you.

I'm not sure if Queen Sirikit naval hosp has an MRI or not (that being the less expensive local alternative to BPH).

The other thing to consider is whether the MRI is really necessary, not knowing anything about your situation I can't say. but if the back problem is of fairly recent onset and there is no sign of nerve impairment (numbness in the legs etc) then conservative symptomatic treatment without MRI would be reasonable giving it up to 6 months to resolve. .
