Good Eats Around On Nut?

Featured Replies

Just moved to BKK, have lived in other parts of Thailand. First time living in big city. Wow is it a different experience!

Anyway, I'm on On Nut 20 and was wondering if anyone knew of good places to eat. Of course there's food courts at Big C and Tesco and it's not too bad but can get boring. Looking for any type of food. I see one place close by called Billabong. Ate at an Italian place last night near Big C named Cafe di Maria, let's just say I don't plan on going there again.

Thanks.

There's a whole thread on good eats in On Nut if you care to search for it. Every good eat in the area has been discussed.

The street vendors on OnNut right at OnNut 17 make a pretty good meal

Many vendors to choose from

Just inquisitive why you moved into city life ? Do you have friends there ? Did you live last in one the resorts or islands? I only ask because I too like BKK very much and was contemplating renting or sharing there ( I normally buy but want to experiment first) I have been told Pleonchit is a good place to be based. Anyone confirm that ? Any other areas eg Klong Toey Is that area good ? (ie for farangs)

Thanks anyone ?

go to the night market next to On Nut BTS station mate....... there is loads of good food there, and there is a good beer bar at the back of the market that is good value and friendly

also over sukhumvit road from there, and walking in the direction of the city for 5 minutes, there is a great all you can eat BBQ place called Best Beef..... can really fill ya boots with great meat for 200B, plus cheap beer :)

The western and Japanese food is utter garbage in that night market. Bangers and mash is one cheap rubber sausage and some inedible microwaved slosh.
