I know there is probably a million similar topics, some of which I've read, but I am interested to get views from those in the know.

We have been living on Samui for the past year but I am about to start a new company and will be moving to Bkk to do so.

We want to live in the centre of the city and be near the BTS for ease of getting around.

Where would you recommend living for a youngish couple who like plenty to do.

I'm not looking for a 5,000 baht place, but I'd rather keep the rent as low as I can, allowing for the fact that I want a nice place with a pool & gym within walking distance of the BTS.

Where is best to find a place? Internet? Local papers? Walking round?

Thanks in advance!

What's your budget? I'm new to the area and am interested to see what people have to say.

PS I am staying near Thonglor BTS and it's NOT cheap.

Just out of curiousity.

Are you bringing household goods here? I have a TV and ATV that needs to be brought back from up in Isaan. i'm wondering what the Veteran Expats would do in this situation.

Thanks and good luck to you

No set budget as such, more led by the standard of the place than the other way round. Give me an idea - when you say Thonglor is not cheap whathave you got and what does it cost?

Further question;

We've decided to find somewhere to stay for a month or two while we decide where we want to live longer term.

Does anyone know of any serviced / short term places we could stay month to month? Ideally close to BTS between Siam and On Nut.

Price of say 15,000 for a 1 bed, doesn't need to be huge, don't need any particular facilities.

Cheers
