SVB made the fatal mistake of drinking beer in the vicinity of the mod's table at the Bangkok party. As he overheard some of the secret conversations between Admins and mods, we had no other choice than promoting him into modhood as shooting him (the only other option) would have spoiled the party a bit...

Myanmar is great - but the internet there is still a shocker...took me this long to stumble onto the thread..

and I whole-heartedly resent the too much beer references in getting demoted to mod - the party was great, but the worst part was that I had arrived on a flight from Yangon that evening without my wallet. I still cannot believe that the door girls accepted my ziplock bag with 200 x 1 baht coins without batting an eyelid!!!! Took ages to count them out of the change bucket in the apartment. I'm still laughing about that
