Featured Replies

Morning all

Please don't bite my head off this is just a general question/interest

I have been reading over some of the posts on the website and i came across a story about a guy down on his luck, and was looking to make some money so he could stay in Thailand with his wife and kids, anyway.

Everyone was telling him to get a teaching job bla bla bla.

So question is

Is it that easy to get a job ?

Do you not need to get some sort of legitimate qualifications?

O this Q is based on if your native English

There are a wide variety of places that will hire people to teach English. Everything from tutorial schools, language schools, through the various public and private primary and secondary schools all the way to University. There is a fair amount of turnover in many of these jobs, so it can be a possibility.

Restrictions on many types of employment make it difficult, so for Westerners, teaching is probably the biggest employment opportunity.

For basic education schools the foreign teacher must have an university degree to get a TCT provisional teaching permit.
