Featured Replies

Hi everybody

Anyone know where i can find silk nylon parachute material from by the metre/roll.

Regards

It will be easier if you say what you to do with silk nylon parachute material, how many thick (210T etc.) do you need.

There is a parachute factory in Chonburi, this factory sell parachute and also repair it, I don't know if they have silk nylon for sale or not.

These are shops that you can buy nylon ;

I hope it is help , or may be I misunderstand about material you are looking for.

Are you involved in real estate?

No space enough to run from balcony for paragliding, so parachute or paramotor is good.

repair under the owners "lifetime warranty"?

Some dirt and blood stains.

Parachutes haven't been made of silk for 50-60 years or so, "ripstop" nylon is what replaced it back in the 1940s-'50s in the U.S. Then in the '80s other synthetic materials came on the market.

If you're interested in the ripstop nylon material, suggest doing a Google for:

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, do you drive on the correct side of the road, do you have lights on at night, do you never drink and drive, do you never phone your pals whilst driving ? If you answered NO to any of these then forget your para flying stuff. sad.pngthumbsup.gif

With the no's of people seen wearing wings on a daily basis I'd expect to see Parachute material stocked @ 7/11:)

@ Thailand1212...........welcome to Thai Visa.

As you have probably noticed from your initial responses, there are a lot of knowledgable members around and if they get a sniff of something that isn't quite right or has the vibe of utter nonsense, then you'll get the message in no uncertain terms.

I flew paragliders for 8 years before coming to live in Thailand, and as T Mac said, silk nylon is no longer used in the free flying sport, ripstop nylon is the go.

Please get your information right and explain to us in simple terms exactly what you need, and what for, and what part of the Kingdom you are in............then maybe we can help you.

Cheers.
