Chainat

Featured Replies

Hi i am visiting chainat next week, any ideas on places to see? is there any sort of nightlife there, bars restaurants etc

There's Suphan Buri with a sort of visitor centre (old, traditional Thai Village developed as a market etc.) about an hour in one direction, and Nakhon Sawan with a few hotels and Thai beer garden/eating houses, a bit closer in the other.

Passed through Chainat the other week and didn't see much there at all.

There are bars, but not the sort of vibrant nightlife of more tourist cities. The best restaurant I have found is Lemon House which is on the main road out of Chai Nat to Suphanburi. It's past Tescos's, on the opposite side on the frontage road. It's part of a small new development. As for things to do, I was disappointed

with the Bird Park. The main attractions are towards Suphanburi with Bungchawat which has an aquarium and zoo and the hundred year old market at Sam Chuk.

I will be travelling to Chainat tomorrow (Sunday) to watch my team Chonburi play the local side in the TPL. I have been challenged to find a meat and potato pie in the town - a seemingly impossible task. Is there anyone on here who can help.

Thanks

My advice would be to forget about pies and concentrate on getting a couple pounds of the insanely huge and delicious river prawns they have there in your belly.
