Can anyone give me an indication of what i might expect to pay for a 2005 / 2007 second hand pick up, either a Iszuzu D max / Toyota / Nissan, one of the lower ones, not bothered about 4WD.

I know there is websites but real life experiences are better to hear.

I looked at a 2009 D max today with approx 100K and the guy's initial proce was 750K which i thought very high, is this about right? i thought a new one was only about 850K?

that's steep check out www one 2 car dot com and select 3rd option down on top menu on the right (above the one that says SUV) for trucks and then brand is the next one, model type is the next one, and 2009 up etc is the next one, play with it and you'll figure it out.

Thanks for that, will have a look.

Depends on your pocket, to be honest if your looking to go for a high priced used ride l would try and save for a new ride. thumbsup.gif

My budget is about 400K, just wondering what to expect for that?

If buying second hand at those prices go for the other brands than Toyota and Isuzu. You'll get a much better ride if you look at Mazda, Ford or Nissan in that price range.

When I bought the new Isuzu March, the Isuzu dealer gave me THB350K for a 2003 DMAX LS 4DR 4WD with 320,000km. It is insane.

I would not buy a used car here unless I absolutely had to. You can a brand new standard cab with a three year warranty for about 500K. If you buy an Isuzu, given the new platform you can sell it when the warranty expires for probably 80% of what you pay for it.

Wow, that website has a massive stock of trucks, i'm assuming they are based in BKK?

Best just to go down there with some cash and try to get a deal.

Thanks for that.

That's a website where several dealers offer their cars. So no physical selling place, but excellent to get some ideas.

I looked around for second hand, but as a previous poster says, the second hand prices are insane - even more so outside BKK!

I bought a new Nissan for about 750k with 350k finance @11k/month. Finished payments in April

On a related note, if anyone had a reliable way to import secondhand cars from the UK, you could make a lot of money. I bought a second-hand Honda accord automatic 2.0 from 2000 in 2005 for about 150k thb equivalent. 7 years later I could probably still sell for more in Thailand!

...sure,but after paying all the (import) taxes, there is not much money to be made smile.png ...if any...

Yes, this is well noted.

All previous vehicles i have always bought here new but thought it may be worth trying to get a pick up second hand, it's going to be a working truck and was a bit unsure about spoiling a new vehicle BUT as mentioned about prices may be the way to go.

Thanks.

And if my aunt would have had balls she’d have been my uncle!
