There's a three year old thread on this but I wonder if things are still the same.

I am considering visiting Langkawi later this year. What is the parking situation like at the ferry terminal? Can you still leave your car for a few days? Is it secure? Is it safe?

And is it still cheaper and easier to rent a car on the island rather than driving into Malaysia itself and using the car ferry?

You can park your car at the ferry port in Satun. Secure, safe and free. However suggest you park in front of the terminal to be on the safe side ...
