Thaivisa are hosting parties throughout Thailand to celebrate 10 years on the web.

It seems that K. Samui and K. Phangan and K.Tao are excluded from these parties.

Just wondered if there is any particular reason for the exclusion? Perhaps you can assist Rooo?sad.png

They seem to be getting three days.... at the same place..... would that include hotel? ermm.gif

Me thinks we do a party on Samui, then head to KP and on to KT.... all inclusive! One day/night at each! wink.png biggrin.png

...... or perhaps that is too much for Mr Rooo to organize???? wink.png tongue.png

Smokie made a passing comment about being able to knock up a good chilli and I'm going to bring back a kg or 2 of American long grain rice for a Jambalaya.

That's good. Can someone tell Smoke that he is paying for that one then.

All I said was that Smokie has said in passing that he is able to knock up a good chilli, nothing more. I'll chuck in a large pot of seafood, smoked sausage and chicken Jambalaya FOC though. I'm sponsoring a somtam competition in Lamai at the end of the month.

Which returns to the question of interest as per the previous party thread. If I have a party I'll throw 10k at it just to get the ball rolling but I can't see TV being willing to do that. I wrote some more but I shall PM that because it may break forum rules.

Which inevitably brings us to the question of if it is possible to volunteer to do nothing and would I need a work permit if I could?

Well you obviously didn't come to the previous official one on Samui.Perhaps a bit of fact finding might save you the embarrassment ,All food was supplied by sponsor, entertainment & drinks by TV.

Also the second non official, all the food was provided free by our sponsors & I paid for the entertainment.

So if you don't wish to attend fine, but I really do not need mudslinging & innuendos.

Anyway...

All food was supplied by sponsor, entertainment & drinks by TV.

Also the second non official, all the food was provided free by our sponsors & I paid for the entertainment.

So if you don't wish to attend fine, but I really do not need mudslinging & innuendos.

Seems like a relatively small community here on this gem of an island so if we are going to celebrate then we should make sure we add the 'Samui style' to the event. Food supplied by sponsor which is cracking... if this is open to tender I'd like to put in a bid as I love food and if anyone checks my posting history then can see it is largely food related. What about entertainment? My ideal time is to spend all evening/night talking to interesting people with light music playing in the background but what do others want? Drinks: Think I saw the 200 Baht ticket included 3 drinks (plus food) which is pretty good to say the least.

So.... My offer is free entry, free food (for 50), 1 free beer upon entry (TV members only), entertainment provided by ourselves and TV will stump up something behind the bar. What say you?

Like Rooo I'm rather bemused by these exchanges. The OP was a simple question. Thavisa are hosting celebration parties throughout Thailand. Rooo is looking into the fact that we in the Gulf seem to have been left out, and might be able to rectify.

The last Tv party was very enjoyable and the way it was managed ensured that it was not full of freeloaders

I see no reason why we should not wait and see what Tv comes up with.

Easy just print a screen shot of you logged in or log in when you attend.

I agree last party was "gratis" and I don't think anyone came along to 'freeload' on the booze or the good food from Haveli, that was served.

Not only Haveli but the Emerald and Sweeney Todd....excellent food all round it was too! thumbsup.gif
