September 23, 201213 yr Oh dear....you will be re-educated soon I'm sure....where's JT and UG...britmaveric...anguid....help!!!
September 23, 201213 yr Actually, that is just rhetoric for the American pizza bashers. I don't mind decent Italian pizza (without ketchup). I just like decent American pizzas much better. To me, Italian pizza is the equivalent of a peanut butter sandwich - tasty but nothing special - and a good American pizza is the equivalent of an excellent steak. That is my no spin opinion.

Everything is better with tomato sauce I knew an Italian pizza restaurant owner who used to spit obscenities under his breath whenever Americans asked for pineapple.
September 23, 201213 yr I was adamantly against pineapple on a pizza until I tried Hawaiian style with smoked pork in San Francisco. I changed my mind. It really can be good in the right pizza parlor.
September 23, 201213 yr Oh dear....you will be re-educated soon I'm sure....where's JT and UG...britmaveric...anguid....help!!! We had three pizzas between three of us. The Tomato sauce was for the chips , I think, or maybe my GF just wanted it on the pizza... I forget. A Belgian guy made them

No spin? Pizza is an Italian dish. In unrelated news, I sometimes find it disgusting what is sold as Chinese food in some so-called Chinese restaurants in Europe. Same holds true for Thai food.

September 23, 201213 yr How about British-style Indian food? It's actually better than Indian-style Indian food due to all the UK's "cultural enrichment". Whoops that will upset the Steely one! I cook it all the time while the Punka Wallah pulls on a rope to waft the fumes out of the kitchen. Culinary enrichment is to be welcomed and even I venture into the Lahore kebab house whenever I visit mates in London. Good grief, fraternizing with the "enemy", you must be coming out of the closet after all....

Or Moksh in Cardiff or the Palm on the A4 between Marlborough and Hungerford....

September 24, 201213 yr Funny how most of the people on this thread seem to have a one-track mind. I presume you are referring to my post so I have asked the mods to remove it.

I flew back to the UK via Abu Dhabi on Etihad airlines too, either I've become positively Islamophillic or I've read the art of war, I'll leave you to figure out which.

September 25, 201213 yr I prefer a really good steak. Medium rare, it doesn't need to moo but it does help if it bleeds.
September 25, 201213 yr I prefer a really good steak. Medium rare, it doesn't need to moo but it does help if it bleeds. nothing comes close to a good cordero or cochinillo asado in Segovia, north of Madrid. 2 week old piglet or lamb, only had mummy's milk and so tender it's cut with a plate once roasted. Melts in your mouth is no exaggeration.
September 26, 201213 yr This thread seems to have digressed seriously off-topic, which is surprising, given that the Superleague semi-finals are this weekend SC
September 26, 201213 yr This thread seems to have digressed seriously off-topic, which is surprising, given that the Superleague semi-finals are this weekendSC That was a knockout blow you delivered last weekend. Amnesia used to be a great night....now its become a way of life.
September 26, 201213 yr I prefer a really good steak. Medium rare, it doesn't need to moo but it does help if it bleeds. For the ladies amongst us, If you want beef you could do a lot worse than this weekend's Superleague semifinals For Smokie; Meggetland, 14 & 28 October... SC

All of our group of five were impressed.
October 17, 201213 yr Pizza Pie is a good name for most USA pizza; thick and heavy with goodies for a full meal. The wood oven thin crust Italian pizza is typically one course in a meal consisting of many. I like pizza both ways however TBH Chicago and NY pizza are too wet for my taste.
