Can't Use The Cheap 008 Calls With My Tot-line

Featured Replies

everytime I try to make a call to a foreign country using the cheaper 008-prefix, I am told "sorry, the destination u dialed does not exist". though, the expensive 007-prefix works fine..... what might be the problem ? anyone else experienced the same ? or do I have to register first to use it ?

it should work "out of the box", mine has been giving an engaged tone whenever I try to call someone for the last few days also :o

Are you trying it at a busy time at the local destination. I was told that they only have a certain capacity to send the 008 calls. I try and call after business hours at the destination if possible.

no, its not a busy line, only after dialing "008" when I didnt even dial any foreign prefix yet, a voice tells me: "the destination u dialled does not exist" :o strange

Mate seems to me he was only trying to advise you.

Try 007 is won't break the bank and the reception is a lot better.

I tried to use 008 last night and got the number does not exist message as well, looks like someone is losing a lot of money here.

Few questions...

What are the rates (at popular destinations) for:

- 007

- 008

- 009

and how/where do you pay the bills/charges?

Are these prefixes good for both TOT & TRUE?

What about mobiles?

P.S. It would be helpful if someone prepare the info related to overseas calles and make it a pinned topic.

Very well said condo (pinned topic) good idea, sticky got my vote!!

008 is TOT, and 009 is True.. I think there about 9 baht a minute, never used 007, I thought 001 was the expensive one? :D

If you have an AIS account they will add any 007 or 008 call costs to your monthly mobile bill.

They usually are on the under side of the cost rather than the overside.

In my personal experience anyway .

I am very pleased as i do not have the problem of going to T.O.T. ( international ) every month.

I have started using 007, it,s a better, more reliable service and only costs 2 baht more than the 008 no.

Since finding out about the AIS arrangement i only use them 2 numbers .

Up to now a very good arrangement and service with both companies.

marshbags :o:D:D

Thanks for the replies, gentlemen!

Maybe someone from mods will respond to this topic.
