Anyone have any idea what the weather and road conditions are for this trip

The weather report for today is 80% chance of rain for Phuket but its not raining in Rawai and has not rained for quite a while

We have a new grandson we want to see and i though we should head of while its not raining here as long as we are not going to be stopped by flooding on the way

That road between Surrathani and Chumporn is extremely dangerous, especially at night

I like that part of the road, both during day and night, except for the small area where there are a few traffic lights. Other than that: this is the part of the trip with the least amount of traffic.

Fine weather when we left Rawai, light rain from Chalong to bridge of island, meadium to heavy rain as far as Khao LaK where we stopped for a of excellent meal of Thai and Western food at Walkers inn, khao Lak to Ranong heavy rain and flash

flooding through the hilly section but still passable with normal car, after that the weather got better the closer we got to Cha Am

Cha Am to Bangsaen beach near chonburi raining most of the way but the weather is now clearing

Good for you.

By taking the more scenic route you did open yourself for some floods, but since it all worked out ok it obviously wasn't too big a problem.

Took that route because we have only done it once before and its better for running a new engine in, eleven and a half hours from phuket to Cha Am is a bit long, we will come back thde quick way straight down the main highway and through Phang Gna

Currenty staying at The Tide resort in Bangsean Beach, really nice hotel but like all 5 star places plenty of toilet paper but no bum washing spray, they should make them compulory

I thought if you stay in 5 star place here you had a personal bum washer sent to your room.

Five star resort in Bang Saen? Didn't know there was one.

Often go there to eat cheap seafood on the beach and look at the dirtiest stretch of sea you are ever likely to come across.

Enjoy the trip, Peter,

Enjoy the trip, Peter,

The tide resort looks very new and probably was not there when you visited

We do not swim in the gulf the water looks dirty everywhere, don't swim in the ocean here either We do not like stinging Jellyfish

Spell checks working again i wonder how long it will last
