Figgen, 50, of Essen, Germany, is a unique artist as he used his beard instead of brush to paint. Figgen, a concert organizer turn artist, is now reside in Thailand, started growing beard 13 years ago and it was measured at 1.10 meters (3.6 feet) long. He made between baht 1,000 to 20,000 for a beard painting depends on size. (AP Photos)

It takes all kinds... :o

:o Makes you wonder what other creative use his beard has.

He doesn't even hold a candle to the showgirl in Top Girls A Go Go who produces remarkable works of art with a felt-tip marker pen rammed you-know-where. Her 'beard' has been well shaved off.

Amazes crowds of Russians & Chinese every night!

:o

Does he have a work permit?

:D

.

It's an interesting gimmick he has painting with his beard. But I don't think it can make much of a good painting brush!

I can write my name in snow with my piss!!!

The trick, of course, is to get someone to pay up to 20,000 baht for one of your masterpieces.. :o

I wonder if he does house painting?

Window and door frames only with the beard.

I can write my name in snow with my piss!!!

Can you do a full stop though ? :o

He was on the visa run bus with me a couple of weeks ago, very strange looking guy indeed.

Not really, still need to do visa runs with a work permit. Still doubt he has one though, good luck to him, nice gimmick.

I've met him a couple of times (he looks like a tramp :D )

Bit of a strange one. :o

.......A Definite contender then for the Turner Art Prize :D

It just makes me puke

I can write my name in snow with my piss!!!

I got in big trouble when I was in High School for doing that behind my neighbors house. He was mainly mad because it was in his daughter's handwriting.

Why do we see posts from 2006?

Because the denizens of Thai Visa can’t get enough of a beardy painter.

What's more, why do people do a thread bump after 13 years, a new record i think
