Macro Mode Of Nikon Coolpix L810

Featured Replies

Two weeks ago I bought a brand-new camera: Nikon Coolpix L810 (for 6,590 Baht)

I took a macro shot of a flying bug sitting on a towel.

I think this photo is not so bad. What do you think?

If someone knows the Latin name of this bug please let me know.

The picture was taken in Nongkhai, Thailand.

It would be a lot better without the date and time stamped on it. You can disable that in the menus and can always find out that date/time info from the EXIF of the photo.

Thank you very much for your advice. I know how to disable the date. I have enabled this function by purpose as I need to send reports to my customers.

I have identified this beetle as Tiger Beetle / Cosmodela aurulenta juxtata / ด้วงเสือสามจุดเหลือง

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Wow nice macro.

Actually the species is Calochroa flavomaculata (if you check the pattern/colors are different from the picture of Bug Eye).
