Warning: True Visons Has Raised Packages By Thb 300 Monthly For Equipment Owners.

As title says, if you own the equipment (box and dish) to watch True Visons, you will now have to pay THB 300 extra every month for your package. The only way to avoid tihs is to pay 6 or 12 month in advance. Thank you True, for selling me the new HD box last month. If I had rented it in stead it would have saved me THB 4000. In addition I would have saved THB 145 monthly.

Ps. I requested these new terms and conditions numerous times, but they are not willing to send them... I have had it with this bunch of scammers.

You have not listed what you were paying and now pay and what package.

I have Gold 1412.79 and rent 155.15 = 1568.12 I can option to pay 6 or 12 months and save money don't need or use HD.

are you saying you will pay 1412.79 +300 = 1712.79?

Did you have a limited discount period on the package price when purchased that has expired and now pay the normal package price? Now you can get the standard discount for 6 or 12 month pre pay that everyone can get also, but still you don't have any rent fee?

I had the service for years stopped for years and started again about a year ago and pay the same price I did 10 years ago - I don't think they changed any prices. If anything I would say it is cheaper now then back then given there are more stations in the package now.

It is true (pun) that it is not the best service I v seen and filled with re runs but at least I get NFL, NBA, MLB, Nascar, F1 and news - The install was completed with in 2 hours of ordering it - I have had no problems with it - I can call and have it removed just as fast. Last time my deposit was refunded without a problem also.

I optioned not to own because i don't want the equipment if I stop using it - what is your gold package price? .

True lies are really not worth dealing with for TV/Telephone or Internet, one of the worst management teams in the world and staff that can truly lie with a smile on their faces!

To answer your questions: Been a member for many years. Initially purchased my equipment, to save on the rental fee. Always have been paying 1412 Baht for Gold package (no extras) Recently was forced to replace the old box with new HD box, so forked out the 4000 Baht for it. After this I didnt get any invoices anymore for the subscription. (I do get the magazine). Because I am also not getting any warning on the tv, as before, I paid too late last month. I was forced to pay a reconnection fee of something like 150 Baht. No biggie, although without me being at fault. This month went to pay at the office well before due date (although still not gotten an invoice). The bill came to 1712 Baht. They couldnt explain why the increase though, had to sort it out with Customer Care myself. That led to numerous emails, phonecalls and FaceBook conversations. I requested a detailed invoice per email, but all I got was a payment voucher, agin for 1712 Baht. Until today they insisted that the 300 Baht was a reconnection fee, only if your signal was cut. (I have this in writing in email and on Facebook). This afternoon someone from TrueVisons called me and after some double checks informed me that they had informed me wrong before, and had juste started a new policy of charging the 300 Baht monthly to purchase package holders. So that is the end of True for me (TV, internet, and mobile). I did offer them to buy back my box, and then I will start renting. Their answer: 'Our policy is to not take back any goods.' So basically they scammed me out of 4000 Baht for a useless set top box. A box which now costs me 300 Baht per month to use, which if I had rented it, woould only have cost me 155 Baht per rmonth.

UUM seem confused - I not big fan of true but not given a choice when it comes to a signal with programs I would watch - which is likely the only reason they survive - I use it.

You have the box and own it - many of the UBC dealers are not with UBC itself try another outlet and see if you don't get a package for you own set box that is priced fair.

I don't quite follow what you are saying. I purchased my equipment from True Visons directly, and also paid my monthly subscription to them. Just wait a couple of days, I am sure more and more people will get shafted when their next bill is due...

I recently moved condo and thus closed my old Truevisions account and opened a new one at my new condo. At first True said I would pay the standard 1568baht fee for the first three months and then it would move up to 1712baht per month. I asked why and they said it's for the HD channels. I then politely refused and told them that I don't want HD and if that's the case I will be terminating all business with them from now. She then suddenly started backtracking and told me that she would ask her manager if they could do a "special deal" for me. Five minutes later she called me back and said the "special deal" was on Now I have all the same channels as my previous (Gold Package) account as well as still having some of the HD channels all at the same 1568 price! biggrin.png

Why? Whenever I've had issue with Truevisions they've always responded quite efficiently and they do appear to (eventually) listen to customer complaints - finally restoring the BBC channels, ASN and not cancelling the radio services. Compared to what you pay for satellite TV in many other countries it's good value, especially if you're a sports fan.

This site is pretty lean on essential information if I am not completely missing it. Is it available in Thailand; what minimum speed internet do you need; what platforms does it support??? I take it that the charge is USD34.99 a month. Direct billing? How do you cancel if you no longer want it? Too much hype and not enough info IMHO

Don't dismiss HD until you have had it. It is as sharp as any HD any where I have seen it in the world. Makes nat geo, dicovery, history and hbo so much nicer.

HD is fantastic - as well as the channels you mention, watching sport is transformed!
