Help My Girlfriend To Get Holiday Visa For Ireland?

Featured Replies

Can someone please help me?

I have discovered that it is very difficult for my girlfriend to get a visa to visit me in Ireland for a holiday. We requested a visa for a 4 week holiday for her but she was refused.

They gave the following reasons.

1. They didn't believe we had met (unbelievable since my passport was stamped and they had photographs of us together)

2. They said she might not go back to Thailand as she didn't have enough socio-economic ties in her own country. (why anyone wouldn't want to go back to Thailand is beyond me)

Maybe she should have said her mother was sick or something?

Does anyone know of an office which might be able to assist us in Bangkok. I thought if i could pay someone to help her with the documentation, she may have better luck next time.

Please help us...... :o

Hi james,

I don't know of any companys to recommend to you but I'm sure someone on here could recommend one if you want to go down that route.

I can quite believe the thing with the photos as I know of an applicant who also provided photos for a visit visa, but they were not even looked at.

The reason to return is the main issue you have to deal with though. It is often the most common reason for visit visa refusals. However some people have been granted visit visas even though they do have no reason to return, trust and or credibility being the over-riding factor.

This link may give you some thought as to what to do next.
