Royal Orchid Plus, Upgrade Reward & Miles Purchase Not Available

Featured Replies

When I log in to my ROP account (silver member) I no longer have the option to use miles for an upgrade, miles purchase is also "temporarily unavailable".

Is it just me, or do all members no longer have these options?

Has your ticket been issued? Is departure more than 24 hours out?

Mileage Upgrade Awards can be requested at anytime after your paid ticket has been issued, but not less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure.

It looks like any fare class can be upgraded - I actually thought there were some which were not upgradeable?

I don't actually have a valid ticket today, but I did last week when I first saw the issue, I just fancied trying business on the A380.

You can indeed upgrade any class on Thai, just varying amount of miles for different classes.

This is what I see when logged in:-

Maybe they are re-valuing the redemption table? Or otherwise revamping their website? It does say "temporarily".

Nothing on FT that I can see?

Maybe ring ROP?

I noticed it got turned off maybe 3 -4 week ago up to then it was working fine. Not sure what there are doing but I do notice that frequent flyer section of Thai seems to have a few issue on and off over last year or so.

The ROP Section of the Thai web site no longer loads on Google Chrome, I have to use Internet Explorer, sent ROP an e-mail to this affect but no reply.

I noticed it a few weeks ago too. Ended up booking with EVA.

Ther whole site is sh***te

Tried changing email address to no effect through internet explorer for a month

Had to ring in the end & send copy of passport

Go Singapore if you can - no charges to change ticket date & no problems with using Miles anywhere

Great web site

while I agree with you, the problem is if you have a Thai AMEX card, then the points programme is hard to pass up. Just too lucrative.
