Beautiful subject, beautifully done! A lot of work went into that.

Personally, I would have liked it even more if it had shown the whole "life of flowers" including their wilt and decay...but perhaps that's just me.

No I am with you, life is the whole cycle but perhaps its not as visually appealing.

Hi there samuijimmy ... nothing off topic and an interesting view point ... sadly, it was focused from the USA pinhole view.

My observation is how did WWII get 10 odd secs, yet the Roman/Chinese Dynasties rate less then 5 secs combined?

But, please not a criticism of you ... ... thanks for sharing!

Here is Honeysuckle, which I was surprised to see growing on Samui...

This has to be one of the longest flower stems in the world .... !!!

I just tried a Google search to get it's name, but came up blank !!!

This one is growing at Nathon Hospital on Samui, but I have also seen near Songkhla city....

Its related to the Aloe, of course. not sure of the name of this one tho. That is enormous. How did you manage to get the shot of the flowers tho? usually they are up near the top

Thanks SBK, I just looked through Wikipedia on Aloes, but did not find this.... I had not realized there are so many varieties of Aloes! I wondered about Yucca.

At the time, I only had a small Sony camera, (photo record tells me that).... never got back with the big Canon! So, the flowers where with the zoom, I am guessing starting at 10 feet.... flowers were longs ways up the stem though...

I did not see or notice the plant on last visit to the NSH... so hope it is still there.... unless it is one of those plants that takes years to bloom, then dies?
