Martial School In Thailand

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I would like to find a school in Thailand that teach Iaido (Muso Shiden Ryu). I would like to follow the school as a full time student if it is possible.

I don't care where the school is located in Thailand.

Thank you for your help and best regards.

Olivier

:o

I know of Kendo club organized by the Japaense association of Thailand if that would suffice. Doesn't Iaido involve a real Japanese katana? If so I don't know how it can be brought in to Thailand (or brought out of Japan for that matter).

Yeah, I was going to recommend the same thing... the kendo association is sort of linked to iaido anyway. I know classes run in Bangkok, but to my knowledge they are not full time... and I only know this because these classes used to run at my condo and the students make heaps of noise!

I saw an advert for one on the toilet wall in rainbow 4 in Nana Plaza....

Thank you all,

I'll keep looking to se if I can find something as I look more for Muso shiden Ryu (real sword) training. In fact Japan is to expensive to stay 6 months or one year learning, and I'll like better Thai social environnement.

Is that illegal to have a sword in Thailand?

Best regards

Olivier
