Should Be An Option To "show All"

in most forums that have multiple responses there is an option to "show all" rather than having to page through all of the posts. that would be nice on here.

Not sure what you mean. In the normal display here you click on a thread you want to read and all posts open and you scroll through them. If there are more posts than a normal page load will allow you have multi pages and open the next page when you finnish reading page one.

I think the OP does not realize that a normal page load allows only for a maximum of 40 posts.

Rather than clicking through page by page, I think girlx means to have every post shown on one page. But yeah, it's a bit of a bandwidth consumer.

Your best option is going to the "My Controls" link (top right of each page), click "Board Settings" on the left under "Options", then change the dropdown on "Number of posts to show for each topic page" to it's maximum - 40.

You got it in one Insight. :o

A "Show All Posts" option, such as one may find on gallery software such as Photobucket is a huge bandwidth consumer... and would cause problems for other readers of ThaiVisa not being able to load pages.

The max_posts=40 option should provide enough reading material for even the most avid readers of the forum.
