Hi everybody! I just got a 60 day tourist visa from the consulate in Munich and the lady there told me that at the moment, it is not possible to extend it for a further 30 days at Samui immigration. Does anybody know anything about that?

What is the best thing to do, to make you buy a double tourist visa?

To tell you, you need one, because you can't stay with a single entry visa longer than 60 days.

I did here this from a couple of people. They had to buy triple entry visas, for ~5 month trips over the winter time

The only way a person would not get a 30 day extension on 60 day tourist visa entry is if they are from certain countries (India, Nigeria and others). Also since the Munich consulate is an honorary one it could be that they just gave out incorrect information.

Assuming the OP is from Germany he would get the 30 day extension.
