Clinton letting Bin Laden go has to be the top mistake of all time.

Followed closely by Kennedy not supporting the Bay of Pigs... :o

Hard to believe that Clinton letting Bin Laden go was not even considered.

Then again, what do a bunch of career academics with nothing to their credit but PhD (aka Piled Higher and Deeper) really know anyway?

Hey Spee, thanks for the Geneva Convention link. After 22 years of service, I never knew there were that many rules regarding PoW's and enemy combatants. Took quite awhile to scan through all that.

In the meantime, here's a tidbit for you.

The US started supporting the Afghan resistance in 1979 under Jimmy Carter (Democrat).

Ronald Reagan (Republican) dramatically increased that support and it was during his presidency that O-slama was recruited.

US support for Mullah Omar and Osama continued during the term of George Bush Sr (Republican). It was during this period that the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan.

Bill Clinton's (Democrat) administration continued the US support until it was determined that Osama was behind the bombings of the US embassies in Africa, after which Billy sent a few cruise missiles at some of Osama's training camps in Afghanistan (1998).

As for worst presidential errors, what about George Bush Sr's decision to not take Baghdad and get rid of Saddam during the 1st Gulf War ?

If he had of done it then, Iraqis would have supported the regime change much more enthusiastically than they are doing now. Chances are we (er, you) wouldn't be in Iraq now.

Yeah, people with alot of education are really stupid, arent' they!! A bunch of farmers are alot smarter than those stupid guys with them degrees, aren't they. I think we should have farmers run them universities and advise them presidents and have them guys with them fancy degrees go be farmers for awhile until they's smart like a farmer.

Pol Pot tried that.

Didn't quite work out though... :o

If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth. You'll have to repeat that one a few more times.

As I recall the Osama was a friend of the family "Bush" before he left the reservation. I don't have to repeat that because it's already the truth.

Agree, everyone knows that Bush is the worst president ever, don't need to wait 100 years to find out why. Unless you are completely blind, we all can see the damage already :o

That's an easy one. George Bush(Senior) and Barbra bush concieving GWB.Now that's a huge mistake. :o

Bush's War on Seniors

Slightly off-topic but I'm sure y'all don't mind! :D

Skyrocketing health care costs. Out-of-control living expenses. Constant right-wing attacks on same-sex marriage and reproductive rights. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any tougher for America’s seniors to survive in this country, the Shrub launches another assault on Social Security.

This week, Bush unveiled his sinister plot to eliminate the coveted $255 prize paid to the surviving spouses of deceased seniors. He also called for slashing monthly cash bonuses for unemployed high school dropouts, thus breaking the sacred covenant working Americans have made to support the drug habits of teenage washouts. It seems that Dumbya won’t be happy until he’s squeezed every last ounce of blood out of our precious living treasures.

It was with heavy heart that I called my Repugnikkkan Nazi of a grandmother this morning to give her the horrible news that she won’t be getting her 255 smackeroos when Grampa finally shuffles off his mortal recliner.

“So how’s it feel to be screwed by your own Chimp, you crazy ol’ bat?” I laughed when Grandma answered the phone. “I bet you’re sorry you took that $300 tax refund now, aren’t ya?”

“What in the hel_l are you talking about?” Grandma asked. “And how did you get this number?”

“In your selfishness and greed, you sacrificed a lifetime of security for a moment of instant gratification,” I chided her. “What did you do with that bribe money, anyway? Blow it on BINGO? A new sweater for your obnoxious little poodle?”

“I don’t have a poodle and you know it.”

“That’s a shame,” I replied. “You’ll be wishing you did when the food runs out.”

“Alright," Grandma snapped. "This conversation is over.”

“And bugged, too, no doubt," I added. "HELLO BUSH! YES, YOU! I KNOW YOU’RE LISTENING, YOU MURDERING FASCIST!!! I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY!! I HOPE YOU’RE TICKLED PINK THAT THEY’LL BE FINDING MY BELOVED GRANDMOTHER’S LIFELESS, SHRIVELLED CORPSE FROZEN TO HER KITCHEN FLOOR THIS WINTER BECAUSE YOU AND YOUR RICH OIL BUDDIES COULDN’T SPARE $255 MEASLY BUCKS! WELL, I WON'T STILL WHILE YOU CONTINUE TO ROB THE POOR TO FIGHT YOUR WAR! I WON'T BE SILENCED LIKE CINDY SHEEHAN OR GEORGE CLOONEY! I WILL FIGHT YOU, DO YOU HEAR ME, BUSH? I WILL FIGHT YOU!”

“Goodbye, Boonie,” Grandma sighed.

“BUSHISHITLERBUSHISHITLERBUSHISHITLERBUSHISHITLERBUSHISHITLER!!!!”

*Click!*

Can you believe that senile old bitty hung up on me? It just goes to prove what I’ve been saying all along about how Freedom of Speech no longer exists in this country! :o

There's a lesson learned, never re-use a rubber. :o

jimmahfuneral.JPG

One of the most inept and incompetent presidents in history trying to lecture another president on anything is astounding. Jimmah Carter, a legend in his own mind… :o

When Kennedy said "Hmm, it's such nice day Jackie, lets use the convertible and enjoy the Dallas sunshine." :o

Who was it who trained Bin Laden in the first place?

Having made the same mistake beofe i.e. 'Training Ho Chi Min' so that he could later come back and woop America's @ss, you think they'd have learned.

Ooops.... I'm not suposed to have noticed that am I?!

Maybe not a mistake but certainly a dishonourable deed.

The last three presidential terms served by Democrats were complete and utter disasters that the Dems have spent a lot of time and effort on trying to rewrite.

The peanut farmer was by far the worst. The texas tyrant was a close second. The hillbilly a distant third.

That is not to say that Tricky Dick and Bush Sr were any prizes.

But we don't have a living legacy of the GOP trying to rewrite history as the Dems are.

Carter did far worse that just the Iran hostage debacle. He gave away the Panama Canal. He almost single-handedly ceased R&D for nuclear fuel reprocessing in the US. Now we have a legacy of a continuing problem with spent fuel instead of a solution to the problem. The rate of inflation almost trebled. The price of gasoline more than doubled.

LBJ was a common corrupt bully politician. Everyone is on Bush's case about phone surveillance. LBJ ordered Hoover to tap anyone and everyone who was a threat, including all of his political enemies and people like MLK, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, etc. And let's not forget that LBJ married into wealth and power. His wife's family owned the original Brown and Root, which later became Haliburton. They still own a big chunk of it, far more than Cheney or any GOP crony.

And the hillbilly ... well, we all know what he's been into.

I thought that was Pope John-Paul II.

I thought it was a bunch of Germans with tools. :o

No she wasn't, her astrologer was.

PS. Everybody in the know, really knows that it was David Hasselhoff (of Baywatch fame) that was responsible for the fall of the wall. He inspired the German people with his then hit record "Looking for Freedom".

Pope John Paul II the left hook and Reagan the overhand right and down goes the Soviet bear. The human spirit triumphs over womb to the tomb neurotic smoothering... (I'm leaving three dots so anyone else may continue the denigration of a truely dehumanizing force, communism, which met it's just and rightful end at the direction of men who valued life and showed their compassion for others through their deeds rather than awards given to them by their own political likeness)
