Payg Card For (Software) Unlocked Iphone 3Gs

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be in Thailand for a couple of months from next week, and I've just managed to (I think) successfully unlock my old 3GS via Ultrasnow and yes the baseband is fine. Of course not 100% sure it's going to be glitch free but I intend to use it as my phone in Thailand. What I'm looking for is a PAYG card that is just calls only but could easily be upgraded to data if I decide I need it. (Main purpose is to have a Thai phone number people can contact me on).

I'll be all over the country, but most of the time in Chiang Mai, but looking to buy the SIM card as I pass thru Bangkok on the way up. Ideally, I'd like a very cheap entry option that will prove my phone works properly and then maybe upgrade to a data option. I've heard good things about DTAC. Do they have an app on iTunes?

Just a reminder my phone is an iPhone 3GS (assuming GSM).

Thanks!

I think your choices are limited to TreuMove H or DTAC/Happy.

SIMs cost ~ 50 baht, insert in phone to activate, top-up to add value, choose a promotion, add a mobile data plan.
